A derivative but fun story, strongly reminiscent of Ender's Game and Starship Troopers. Makes good use of the Hero's Journey (Star Wars, Wheel Of Time, reluctant hero, etc), which I always find an interesting alternative.
I'm sure lots will see shortcomings in the book, and it probably won't win major awards, but it is entertaining and makes a great audiobook. If you go to the cinema regularly, then you can't really complain about the quality of this book. :)
