This is a creepy book about children who are kept in permanent stasis by a grieving father, and who eventually learn the dramatic events that have led to their imprisonment in time.... The plot leads you to think the children are ghosts themselves, but what ensues is more complicated and less believable. The ambiance is good, and it is a great book for middle school students needing a scary book.
