A detailed book on the essence of things, the lack of any scientific data on its actual existence but the importance of that to humans from early on. Covers many studies done with children of different ages showing the development of the brain that attributes these extra characteristics to inanimate objects or allows for differentiation between animate and inanimate objects. Interesting overall, but perhaps somewhat repetitive at times? It's a book everyone should be able to relate to one way or another though.
