Review of 'The Field Guide to Dumb Birds of North America' on 'Goodreads'

Genuinely funny and cathartic in parts. Good for a laugh for enthusiasts, or for those annoyed by birds and not looking for much info on them.

The bird guide section is about 3/4 of the book. Entries contain a sketch, a brief paragraph on their behavior, and occasionally a bullet point (colors, identification, facts, flock facts, etc). Some consistent information for each entry would’ve been great. I began knowing nothing about birds and finished about the same.

Identification, American Bird Association summary, types of feeders, and keeping a bird journal are also discussed.
