The stories include tales of cows and dogs including Tricki Woo, horses, goats and orphaned lambs, and all told in the wonderful writing style that has made James Herriot a household name.

It was a fun listen. I was first introduced to James Heriot when reading a short excerpt with an 8th grade class. I enjoyed his storytelling.

The audio is almost better than reading since the reader does the accents, I assume, correctly. There is a bit of translation for the listener, and some things I plain did not catch.

A good, light-hearted listen.
