Review of 'A stolen season' on 'LibraryThing'

It's a cold summer in Paradise, and Alex McKnight and his friends have to dive into to the coldest lake in the world to rescue some drunken louts who drive a beautiful boat into some wooden pilings. No good deed goes unpunished; before long the loutsreturnare giving Vinnie problems, and Alex steps in. Up to his neck. Which wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't losing sleep over Natalie being involved in a sticky undercover operation on the other side of the border. I don't know how Hamilton makes a familiar PI formula feel so fresh, but he does. Another excellent read.
