This ends on more of a cliffhanger than the last but only because of a type of epilogue. I'm so on the fence of 3 of 4 stars as overall I did really like it but at some point in the middle it stopped being about the characters and all about the plans to retake Earth and the battle. It was very complicated and left me a bit bored yet... the beginning of the book was really good and the end was really good, but then there was a last minute cliffhanger that should have been in the next book. Add that to the drag in the middle of all the battle plans... it is between good and really good, 3 and 4. I went right into the next book and have been enjoying it actually quite a bit more than this and it make me judge this …

Add that to the drag in the middle of all the battle plans... it is between good and really good, 3 and 4. I went right into the next book and have been enjoying it actually quite a bit more than this and it make me judge this a bit harsher. This has a bit of fun but mainly it is character driven scifi with a small romance way in the background, off again on again. Daisy is an interesting character that is in some ways too independent yet she relies on her friends for certain things too. She is too close to her vest for many of the things that she gets into. Of course she has been lied to in the past and is being pushed to something she really doesn't want so wants her own time and space but it goes way too far with Freya and in some ways the mind in her head.
A good edition to the series.
