Bring the jubilee

I thought I had read this book as a kid, but reading it now brought up no memories. It is the kind of book I would've read as a kid. Being a time travel alternate history where the South won the Civil War. Apparently from the short bio of the author at the end of the book, this was an early example of the genre. It's an easy read even with its old-style writing. Except for a section about two thirds of the way through the book where I had some issues with how certain characters interacted with each other. I had a fun time reading this book. Mr. Ward provided a good ending in a genre that isn't known for acceptable endings.
