Voice of our shadow

I'm a huge fan of Jonathan Carroll. Even his minor works are worth reading and I would have to put this book in the category of minor. As always I love just reading his words and language. The story this time just didn't do it for me. Much of the fantastical elements didn't come until close to the end of the story. Although I enjoyed most of the characters none of them were particularly noteworthy to me. The bugaboo at the end was fine but predictable. Don't make this the first Jonathan Carroll story you read. There are so many that are better.
