Review of 'East West Street' on 'Goodreads'

Fascinating, intertwined storylines, mixing family history with the emergence of the diametric legal concepts of crimes against humanity versus genocide — putting the key protagonists, Resch Lauterpacht and Raphael Lemkin, and their places of origin in the former province of Galicia center and front.

Even for one who might unwillingly descend into a ‘The twelve Nazis of Christmas’ canticle this time year like me, the depth, humanity and personal touch of Sands' investigations and revelations deepened my senses, and gave me a renewed appreciation of the daring balance act of the Nuremberg trials.
