Transgender 101

I thought I was fairly aware around transgender issues, but this book proved me wrong, especially around the differences between the concepts of transexualism and transgenderism. It's not the most recent book on the subject, but overall I felt this was a good introduction to understanding the complexities involved in defining gender in a relentlessly binary culture; and in tying to grasp the challenges that transgender people face in every aspect of their lives.
