Leave It to Psmith: A sparkling delight

More than 40 years ago in high school I went on a P.G. Wodehouse binge. I read everything of his in my school library. I loved the books, but for some reason Leave It to Psmith was the one title that really stuck in my mind. I moved on - to a binge of the works of Leonard Wibberly, I think - and for some reason didn't read any Wodehouse until this year. At which point I was recommending books over on Reddit - I stopped doing that for good after the API protest - and had been looking for public domain books in particular to recommend.

How did I forget this book? It's brilliantly witty. I found myself laughing out loud again and again at the adventures of Psmith, glib-tongued man about town. Young Psmith is unique, and his mode of speech is actually intoxicating. I soon remembered that …
