I've got to say that this was my least favorite of the Mary Balogh books in this trilogy.
I was excited to read Madeline's story, but I just didn't like her all that much as a character. She did the whole running when she was scared, and being a super huge blabbermouth. That, and while she wasn't all that permiscuous, she did the whole talking with other men thing.
All she and James did through out most of the book was argue, and complain about how they couldn't stand each other, and how they hated each other.
It'd have been nice to see them happy the very end of the book. I guess you can't win them all though.
