NightDrake reviewed The gilded web by Mary Balogh (Signet super Regency)
Review of 'The gilded web' on 'Goodreads'
I started this book, and it was really intrigueing. England, regency era. Main female character is at a ball, with a bunch of other characters in the novel. She goes outside, to gea breath of fresh air, and another character in the novel thinks she's someone else, blindfolds her, and takes her upstairs, and ties her to a bed. Interesting beginning, indeed.
The next thing you know, one of the main male characters in the book realizes what happens, and the scandal occurs.

I thought this book was going to be a lot better than it actually was. Let's all talk about everything, then go for a walk. Then I'll show you the house, and we'll talk more. Both of the make leads decide that they love Alexandra, the main character, but she's so young, and inexperienced. She finally decides on one of them, but just getting to that point was so tedious. I thought to myself, "Seriously, Alex, can't you just make your mind up?"
I gave this author a try, but I'm not sure that I'll read more of her books. I'd like to see more action, and less well, talking.
