I’m re-reading this series, and I’d forgotten how much I like it!
Sophie Winston is an event planner in Old Town Alexandria, VA. She’s surrounded by a neighborhood of interesting characters, including her ex-husband Mars, short for Marshall, his current partner Natasha, who always does everything perfectly, and her slightly wacky friend and neighbor Nina. Along with their assorted pets, they find themselves embroiled in mystery when a man who approached Sophie outside the grocery store ends up dead in the dumpster and Sophie becomes the prime suspect.
