i was so bored by this one. it felt like nothing new, and a rehashing of an animal magnetism book (i don't have one in mind rn but i'm sure you could find one). willa bored me, keane bored me, i wasn't laughing, i was skimming past all the sexy times. no bueno.
it got to the point where it felt like pulling teeth to continue, so i gave up around 70%.
i wanted to like this one: jill shalvis is usually a no-brainer, and i usually don't mind tropes. idk why this one was such a struggle. though i did realize the last time i read a shalvis book was a solid 6+ months ago, and i gave that one a shaky 2 stars. maybe it's time for me to move on from her.
