Dark, Engrossing, and Much Needed

Loved the audio book and the narration. It jumps right in with complex and great characterization while tackling many intricate topics such as small town Southern politics, racism, religion, and other real societal issues. I was captivated by all the characters including Titus Crown, who I pictured would be like Mike Colter the actor. It is a dark noir crime thriller that was deep and poetic with so many quotable passages. I had just read Lula Deans Library of Banned Books and having this book come right after it paralleled so many themes with very similar Southern concepts and both discussed these damn statues! It felt so real: the characters, story, setting, dialogue. No notes. I look forward to reading more and great narration!

Review of 'All the Sinners Bleed' on 'Storygraph'

4.5 rounded up because it made me cry. So many feels! Also so many graphic details of the murders. I read Karin Slaughter books so I'm no noob to graphic murder/torture details but when it's kids, it becomes a bit tougher to take.

My biggest take away is that Mr. Cosby writes beautifully. There were so many passages - even phrases - that made me stop and reread because of word choice. I just love his language and voice. I'd read anything he wrote just for that. The excellent plot and characters and tough to figure out mystery were an added bonus.
