Review of 'Roadkill' on 'Goodreads'

I enjoyed Dennis E. Taylor's Bobbaverse books. Somehow the formula doesn't work for me in Roadkill.

The familiar surroundings of contemporary earth creates a dissonance with the constant pop culture references that was integral in the space adventure setting of the Bobbaverse.

The slow pacing also didn't match the exactment the characters told me they were experiencing.

Things only pick up towards the very end of the novel.
