This was a delightful candy book set in Atlanta, with a cast of characters that include a slightly deranged protagonist with an abusive wife and a trailblazing, secretive boss and mentor. I appreciated the cast of strong and believable women, and the plot was interesting with well-done twists. The setting of Atlanta is brought to life with strong detail and research, and the leading characters are both jaded and conflicted, in classic noir fashion. This was my first read by this popular mystery writer, I am going back for more.
