Molly Foust reviewed Daddy cool by Donald Goines
Review of 'Daddy cool' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
My first foray into urban fiction was bleak. Unapolagetically sexist and violent, Daddy Cool's morality is made up of loyalty andself-efficiency. Much made me cringe and sentences like "he mounted her like a stallion on a mare" seriously detracted. But the plot was inventive even if the climax was abrupt.
