Perhaps I should not record this as read, because I basically skipped through it, just skimming the pages. I was engaged enough to try to understand what happens, but not nearly engaged enough to really read it. This is, so far, the worst Eschbach book I have read. Due to me just skimming everything I don't feel I can say much about the book. The characters were just awful, the plot felt ham-fisted. Just a bad book.
