There are things I like more and things that I like less about this volume compared to the last. But mostly, after reading a blatantly misogynistic light novel, this was a breath of fresh air.
This feels a bit less clearly structured than the first volume, where the end goal was immediate from the start, but there were still a lot of great moments and seeing Laplace's story with Maxwell was fantastic. It was great to see people other than Tanya and Laplace getting upset over sexist acts, although some of them were handled a little poorly. It was also really nice to see Katherine develop into a proper character.
Overall I'm not sure that I enjoyed it quite as much as the first volume, but it was pretty close and I think the main plot had more emotional impact. Would love to see more of this.
