How do I keep reading "spiders in space"? Humorous, complex, and engagingly quirky characters, it could have stayed at the level of a light violent space opera romp but tries to tackle a lot about intelligence, chance, and meaning of free will, to mixed success but I think spent a suitably diminishing amount of time on each as it followed the setup.
