This was a quick read. I liked it well enough, but I gotta say, I'm sick of Curtis Sittenfelds female characters. Just blech and blah. Really, they are the most boring, personality minus misfits who just take up space on this planet and never actually live life. I'm tired of them and their self indulgent ruminations and though I think Sittenfeld is a good writer I'm not reading another one of her books with an awkward female protagonist. Unless she writes about an out of control party doll sexing it up with every Tom, Dick and Mary out there... Forget it. Maybe Sittenfeld has it in her to write a story about someone other than a weird awkward girl, But I'm not holding my breath.
