Needed quite long to finish this

I really like the series and the pace it has. But with this volume I was not managing to get into it. Struggled a little to finish it.

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith is a hugely enjoyable series, especially for the atmosphere it conjours up. This book was no exception. Like the rest of the series it takes a while to get going, there are long period when not much happens other than drinking tea and eating cake, but nevertheless there is just enough plot to keep you going, and that accelerates towards the end of the book. Above all it is the wonderful atmosphere that he creates, a 'feel good' book without an excess of sentimentality.
This was the first time that I had listened to a book in this series as an audio book. Bianca Amato did a superb job of reading it, definitely contributing to the African feel with all her accents.
