Good Scottish political SF again from MacLeod. However what reminded me of it was the line "Charlie, aren't aliens enough?" where 'Charlie' I believed at the time to be fellow Scottish SF author Charles Stross, though having just read an article on Jaron Lanier it might well be Lanier instead. Small reference pools again!
