Dark Embrace

I was looking for a bit of a Halloween vibe, and I went with this one. It was the only one of these books that I never read, though given it's been years for all of them, I just really don't remember any of the others anyway. But this one was a bit different from those because this one not only suggests the hero is some sort of supernatural being as the other gothic books do, here, he actually is one, a vampire, specifically. It's shorter than the others, which over all was okay, but it felt like maybe the ending was rushed for that - or just that the ending was let down given the other things throughout the story that were being introduced. But still, all in all, a nice spooky but yet romantic story for the season!
