This is superior to the "HomeSkills: Plumbing" book. It has double the pages and almost word-for-word and picture-for-picture what the Homeskills book contains, with sometimes more tips or pictures. They share the same publisher, but Black and Decker’s covers more fixtures like water heaters, water filters, and plumbing projects requiring some construction. It’s also cheaper ($16.37 vs $22.20 on Amazon).

The pictures and illustrations are well done and show inside many fixtures and appliances.

The book mentions different changes and regulations in the last few decades regarding plumbing code.

The variety of different fixture and appliance types are covered well. You're almost guaranteed to have a diagram of your specific sink or shower style.

Many common problems with each fixture are covered. You should be able to repair minor issues using only their picture guides, and be able to replace fixtures with the guides and maybe a video tutorial outside …
