Review of 'Death of Dulgath' on 'Goodreads'

It felt good to read about Royce and Hadrian again. I received this book a part of my backer reward but didn't quite feel up to it for a while. Now I'm glad I waited because it shortened the wait for the Age of Myth in June.

This book was very much like a long novella or DLC for a game. It introduced a new setting, new people, but was self-contained. Anybody who enjoyed the other Riyria books will like this one just as much.

For some reason I Just don't tire of Royce and Hadrian. It's just so much fun to spend time with them.

At this point in the Rayira chronicles timeline, it is a bit hard for Sullivan to juggle between what the readers already know about the pair and what they know about themselves and each other.

Hadrian seems a bit too stupid this time around.

Villains have always been Sullivan's weakness and this time around though still a cartoon villain, the bad guy's backstory and motivations are well fleshed out.
