Treasure of the Spanish Civil War

So look you just have to read this. It's fantastic. The stories are very loosely connected (if at all) and set during or after the Spanish Civil War. They are sometimes violent, sometimes funny, and sometimes transcendent. Serge Pey is a masterful writer. His craftsmanship comes through clearly in the translation (which is not bad, either). There are some powerful notions in these stories and more than a few that would make excellent films if they were fleshed out.

I hope more of Pey's work is translated. I'd read anything by him at this point.
