Surprisingly good though it suffers from being a part of a series. I started reading knowing that so that might have lowered my expectations enough. Still, the book begun as Milvas story and in the end her point of view was completely lost. Somewhere near the end out of nowhere appeared the "explanation" that it was all being told by a storryteller to some towns-children, but even that did not prepare for the abrupt end.
I loved how the main characters were disconcerned with the greater politics of the world while it continued happening around them, and action scenes were fun, characters - colourful and bright.
