I hugely enjoyed this overall, both Aaron and Diana are darling, their romance is sweet, and it has some excellent sex scenes.

However, I didn't at all like the reveal regarding Mr. Evermoore. A young woman obsessed with her pet to the degree that 1) everyone believes she's talking about a suitor and 2) her parents send her away because she refuses to give him up is obviously troubled, if not diagnosable. Treating Miss Bertram as a joke under those circumstances is cruel, at best, and moreover feels directly contrary to the spirit of the Spindle Cove series as whole, given that the titular town is a haven and a safe space for women who need help, are misunderstood, are unwanted, or simply don't fit anywhere else.
