The back blurb says "This is the unbelievable story...." and it's not lying. The story is kind of unbelievable - not because I found it hard to believe that Bee could be a superstar plus-size model, but because I found it hard to believe that a 17-year old freshman would be able to jet off to places like Italy and Mexico and never breathe a word of it to her parents. Maybe the scenes where she asked her parents if she could become a model got left on the cutting room floor, but they really should have left at least a line or two in about it. That really pulled me out of the story. The rest I found enjoyable. I also would have liked a more definite statement of what the main character looked like. I assume she was white based on the cover model and one throwaway line, …
