I specifically remember 'Night-Sea Journey' and the tale (the 'Menelaiad') which seems designed only to nest as many pairs of quote marks as possible.
Very fun, in a frustrating experimental way. More fun to read as a project than a novel to sit back and enjoy.
This is the first piece of meta-fiction I've read. Thanks, again, goes to our American Novels Since 1945 book club! Although I finished it a bit too late to participate in the discussion, I think I enjoyed it more having heard and read about passages in the book before reading them.
This book is very quotable.
