An irritating and formulaic mystery with too much soap opera drama. Bleh.

In a remote hunting lodge, deep in the Scottish wilderness, old friends gather for New Year; The beautiful one, The golden couple, The volatile one, The new parents, The quiet one, The city boy, The outsider, The victim... Not an accident, A MURDER among friends.
An irritating and formulaic mystery with too much soap opera drama. Bleh.
I liked that the identity of the victim was kept a mystery as well as the perpetrator, but oh were they a bunch of shallow, obnoxious and/or cliched characters. I am over unlikeable characters, but it was a quick listen on audiobook and I did hang on to find out whodunnit and who had it done to them.
3.5/5. A page turner - I couldn't stop reading until I found out what happened.
