About sex segregation in sports...

[Note: here "women" and "men" can be read as "cis women" and "cis men," but usually when I talk about women and men I mean all of them, cis, trans, nonbinary, and more.]

Despite what some people say, sex segregation in sports is NOT for the protection of women's health. Women are not that fragile.

Sex segregation in sports is for the protection of men's egos, which are that fragile.

We don't know women's true capabilities at the current moment. We are barely beginning to emerge from a long period of enforced ignorance about women's capacity for strength and athletic achievement. Example number one million or so:

Congratulations to her for not giving up and showing the world how strong women fight back against bigotry and hate.

PS. I don't see any of those vocal "woman-life-freedom" folk posting anything in support of her.

Content warning Rape as a weapon of war

A woman on tiktok uploaded footage of her mixing pool chemicals. She poured muriatic acid into a bucket and then dumped in a bag of pool shock chlorine granules.

Yellow-green gas started pouring out of the bucket, she started coughing, she ended up going to the hospital - she's fine.

People in the comments keep asking if it's mustard gas, and I said "it's chlorine gas, but it can still kill you".

And, oh. my. fucking. god.. the men are pissed.

I've had HUNDREDS of men over the last 3 days telling me:
- I'm wrong (I'm not)
- it's mustard gas (it's not)
- it's chloromine gas (it isn't, because she used muriatic acid and not ammonia)
- chlorine gas isn't deadly (it kills in under 30 minutes at 430ppm)
- chlorine gas isn't a poison because it doesn't enter the blood stream (poisons don't have to)
