My university and the professional societies I belong/ed to all rushed to push back on online options as soon as abled people felt they didn't need them and were content for things to remain inaccessible and dangerous for disabled people.

Americans should take note that posting hate speech online is most definitely a crime in France (as it is in most European countries) and there's no get-out-of-jail-free clause of "constitutional free speech" to fall back on.

Coaches would encourage young female runners, who often have higher body fat percentages than their male counterparts, to lose weight to improve performance.
Today, many women runners are flipping the script. They’re discovering how dangerous undernourishment can be – including the risks of disordered eating – and are seeking out coaching that supports proper fueling. The old model of coaching for thinness is gradually giving way to an emphasis on strength and stamina.
Undernourishment by athletes competing at high levels can have a number of bad health effects; one of them is bone micro-fractures. I have seen TERFs citing the prevalence of micro-fractures among women athletes as proof that women need protection from competing with men--but in reality it's evidence that women in sports are being systematically discouraged from adequately nourishing themselves.
Until sexism is eradicated, nobody can make any blanket statements about women's capacity for athletic achievement.

Yellow-green gas started pouring out of the bucket, she started coughing, she ended up going to the hospital - she's fine.
People in the comments keep asking if it's mustard gas, and I said "it's chlorine gas, but it can still kill you".
And, oh. my. fucking. god.. the men are pissed.
I've had HUNDREDS of men over the last 3 days telling me:
- I'm wrong (I'm not)
- it's mustard gas (it's not)
- it's chloromine gas (it isn't, because she used muriatic acid and not ammonia)
- chlorine gas isn't deadly (it kills in under 30 minutes at 430ppm)
- chlorine gas isn't a poison because it doesn't enter the blood stream (poisons don't have to)
