“No one starts over, because no one really leaves anything behind.” It seems I was the 2,000th backer 💸 of a new edition of #TheExpanse #RPG. https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/green-ronin-publishing/the-expanse-roleplaying-game-transport-union-edition

Need a ride?
Just finished S3 of #TheExpanse for the second time & have now almost caught up with where I stopped watching a couple of years ago 🤷♂️
Nothing against the show at all, quite the contrary – just never had time 🕰️
I promised my friend Dominique Tipper then that I would get to the end soon & finally I’m closer to coming good, if only because my wife is also watching & invested this time 🙂
Night night 😴
It’s late on Friday night & in honour of Steven Strait / James Holden of #TheExpanse appearing at ESTEC’s Open Day with #SpaceRocks in Noordwijk this weekend, ESA have just announced the latest design of the EnVision mission to Venus 👍
Already at 43% of #LeviathanWakes, first book of #TheExpanse
Shamelessly reading during work hours lol
Progress thus far...

As seen at tonight’s venue, the Librăria Humanitas de la Cişmigiu bookstore, for my talk about #JWST at the Bucharest Science Festival 🖖🤘

Content warning The Expanse, possible spoilers
I did finished the last of the nine books of #TheExpanse last Sunday.
Was the series worth it? Absolutely! I think my favorite book was the 8th.
Did I like the ending? I'm still undecided. I was hoping for more of a happy end. It was certainly better than the end of Trisolaris.
I'm now in this weird head space where I realize I "lost" the characters and the universe that accompanied me for such a long time. Not a feeling I can cope very well with ATM...
From this evening’s #TheExpanse (S1E9), the UNS Arboghast orbiting Venus.
In the same episode, the crew of the Rocinante commandeer the Weeping Somnambulist to get to Ganymede.
Which ESA mission connects the two?
JUICE, which after its recent Moon-Earth flyby heads to Venus next August, then back to Earth twice more before arriving at Jupiter in 2031 & ending in orbit around Ganymede.
Science fiction made science fact, albeit hopefully without any protomolecule 😬👍
Random comment on a review of #TheExpanse. Common behavior is often a bad guide. It is riddled with emotions that often run against our own interests in a world that is completely different to the one where our emotional backbone evolved.
I've been watching Psych recently, and got to an episode where a plane with a familiar name was mentioned. I slapped this together last night.
Deleted & re-drafted so it goes to Bluesky too.
I remember when I first started watching #TheExpanse and started posting about my watch on social media, a gif of this scene is one of the first replies I received regarding my first post (with the captioning "Beltalowda").
And I wondered what the hell is "Beltalowda". And is that David Strathairn?
Has anyone read the latest James S. A. Corey novel, the Mercy of Gods? Would love to chat with anyone who has as I recently finished it!

I was just thinking back to my first watch of #TheExpanse.
I'd never even heard of this series and then found out about it through social media. It sucked me right in and it was one of the most enjoyable series watches I've ever done.
#StargateSG1 is giving me that same kinda vibe. I'd heard of this series but never gave it a second thought until some interaction about it on Mastodon. And now, I'm absolutely loving my first watch!
I just finished the second to last book of #TheExpanse. OMFGoth was this a wild ride...😱
I'm already dreading the time when I'm done with the last book. "Losing" beloved characters and worlds always hits hard for me...
