Le séisme Adèle Haenel (3/4): l’onde de choc
La publication de l’enquête de Mediapart suscite des réactions en chaîne. Au-delà du témoignage de l’actrice, son analyse sur la mécanique du silence et les violences sexuelles systémiques va être le véritable point de départ de #MeToo dans le cinéma français.
En 2019, la comédienne accusait dans Mediapart le réalisateur Christophe Ruggia de l’avoir agressée sexuellement lorsqu’elle était mineure, et racontait son cheminement vers la parole. L’affaire avait ouvert la porte au #MeToo français.

Thank god for the #MeToo mvmt and those who worked many years leading up to it. Men, if you aren’t getting what you want in life, stop blaming other members of the working class. Stop blaming women, immigrants, trans people, anti-capitalists. Because everyday people are not your enemy. It feels like in this collage, ‘rapist’ could easily be replaced with ‘fascist’/‘racist’/‘transphobe’/etc. It is beyond comprehension how a convicted felon and rapist could take office as the president of the so called United States – notably for the second time. If only the implications would be limited to his country. But we live in a troubled world with wars, genocide, climate catastrophes and a capitalist system that marginalises so many people. This has to be addressed on a global level. As much as the Nazi-Salute of Elon Musk at the inauguration sends a clear message to the far right, Trump being a rapist encourages all the Andrew Tates out there to act in impunity… these are really dark and difficult times.

He was one of my favorite authors but after the allegations came out last summer I feel I can no longer support him in good conscience. I think he believed he was too rich, powerful, and famous to have to face consequences for his actions. Let's show him that's not the case.
