I enjoyed this book so much. It's epic fantasy at its finest, with great worldbuilding, a large and varied cast of characters, and plenty of action with very real stakes.

Some highlights:
- The dialogue, which really helps flesh out the characters, giving them each a unique personality.
- A mix of mythologies from around the world weaved seamlessly into this one world.
- A little bit of romance.
- Court intrigue.
- An epic battle scene.
- A diverse (in more ways than one) cast of characters.
- An engaging story that kept me hooked from the first page.

I'm so glad I picked this book up, and can only hope it becomes part of the canon of fantasy.
