This collection of essays started off wonderfully - the first three or four stories are well written, thoughtful, and inventive. Then it took a turn for the worse, with subsequent essays on politics not really offering anything new or insightful to the reader. After reading the reviews here, I may go back and read some of the later pieces, but for now, this book went from something I was excited to curl up with to something I was happy to set aside.
