A great book with a powerful message. I felt for her and her children and cried with her. I would have liked to know more about the author's grief journey after the death of her husband, though.

Sadly, I was greatly disappointed with this story. It had all the right elements - New York, cafés, bars and the music scene, but setting is not all. I couldn't connect with Mia, and found it hard to sympathise with her in situations, where she treated Will downright badly, I found. The chemistry between the characters was there in places, but the characters - and especially Mia - did not win my heart.
I totally loved "Before We Were Strangers" and "Swear on this Life" by the same author, but this book is just not for me.
