Review of "The monopolists : obsession, fury, and the scandal behind the world's favorite board game" on 'Goodreads'

I had heard that monopoly started as something anti-capitalist, but I never knew the story. It turns out to be fascinating and a perfect example of how twisted intellectual property systems are, how creativity is stifled, how collaboration is hidden, how the rules favor liars and bullies. The book also shows how incredibly stubborn you have to be, how much you must be willing to risk, to push back. The story, it turns out, might be a better teaching tool than the games ever were.
