Review of 'Bringing down the house' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

The story of how a team of MIT students developed some advanced teamwork-based card counting systems that ended up taking Vegas for quite a bit of money before they finally caught on.

The tension as Vegas slowly learns how to track down the kids is entertaining, but the author's writing style of jumping back & forth between present-tense interviews and past tense story telling feels unnecessary.

Being "based" on actual events I'm left wondering what parts happened and what parts didn't, as some of it certainly seems outlandish - I'd be shocked kids THAT smart kept going at it THAT long.
