Feb 6: loved this book. Especially considering the books I’ve read before this one. Loved the characters so so much— they felt dynamic and were engaging. Aya’s arc throughout was nicely done. I feel like it can be hard to balance writing a strong female character that has flaws and making her completely irredeemable. Maybe that’s just me. The world itself was interesting— I’m excited to see how the world is fleshed out in the next book. Plot twists inside of plot twists. I felt like I was always on my toes trying to get one step ahead of the characters.
