I like the idea as a fine starting point for a meta horror story. Here, it is the whole story. The bulk of the book is discussing and dissecting the idea, which is slasher movie tropes. The actual story here is maybe 25 percent of the book. It's still a fun, quick read. It's part Scream and part Cabin in the woods.
