I read sapphic romance as a vice, and other books as I find them interesting. I have committed to reading through Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and so that will be the backbone of my reading for the foreseable future. Probably a discworld followed by romance, and onto the next discworld. Other stories may sneak in there.

Terry Pratchett: Men at Arms (EBook, 2009, HarperCollins)

'What's so hard about pulling a sword out of a stone? The real work's already …

This is the second book I've read from Terry Pratchett and the second book in the Night Watch series of Discworld novels. I've come to expect from Pratchett copious quantities of punnery, fun whimsical characters, and a deep seated feeling that something is not quite right with the universe. But the books are FUN. I look forward to the next one.

Broken Wings, a fantastic lesbian romance

This was an utterly fantastic read! I loved the fantasy urban setting. The love interest was great and though of course the story, like nearly all romance stories, is filled with moments that have you screaming "JUST COMMUNICATE FOR GOODNESS SAKE! THEY WILL UNDERSTAND JUST TALK!!!", the stakes for the characters are such that you can empathize with them and understand why they might be reluctant. It creates a very compelling tension and a very satisfying conclusion.

Sometimes I read just to pass some time. Sometimes I read because I want to be done with a book. This book had me wanting to rush back to it whenever I could.
