I enjoyed this, for the most part. Yes, lots of horrible fantasy cliches. Yes, lots of infuriating deliberately cryptic people. But it was better than a lot of swords & sorcery type stuff. I'll no doubt read the others but I'm not in any hurry.

EDIT: re-read (a different edition) in 2015 and enjoyed it much more
