Exactly what any fan of The Bad Batch would love in the format of a novel. Sure, it's a shame that we don't get a POV from characters like Crosshair and Echo, but it's a competent and delightful story nonetheless. If you're at all endeared to these characters, Sanctuary is a recommendable read.

Arguably found this to be the weakest of Schreier's 'trilogy', which isn't to say it is bad at all. I just think this book is a bit more dry than his previous works. Blood, Sweat and Pixels had the fun of covering a variety of games, Press Reset had a very clear red thread that was fun to follow and while I admittedly don't have a particular strong attachment to Blizzard, I found the juice in this book to kind of dry up as it went on. Nevertheless, Play Nice is a great read for anyone even remotely intrigued by the gaming industry.
