Kind of a bummer what happened with Matt Taibbi and Glenn Greenwald, tbh.

This was actually really accessible and short to read, I don't know why it has such a cult/mystical appeal in the manosphere. It doesn't support any of their lifestyle choices ideologically. I guess the obvious answer is they're just morons.

Great Collection of Short Sci Fi
4 stars
Ted Chiang: Stories of Your Life and Others (Hardcover, 2002, Tor) 4 stars
Arrival is one of my favorite movies so I wanted to check out the source material and I'll say I was not disappointed. I think the movie did the text justice. Lots of fun, short speculative fiction ideas played with in this collection. If you're a sci-fi/fantasy to hard sci-fi person and you haven't read this already, I'd recommend it.

This has the comedy beats of a children's series along the lines of Goosebumps or Animorphs and the language and predilections of a teenage boy, but the subject matter of what should be an adult. Stylistically it reminds me of Snow Crash. A type of angsty adult man-child 'poonin his way through traffic like a cool guy. Failing on purpose and attracting manic pixie dream girls. If you like Deadpool or non sequitur humor like Family Guy, you'll probably be into it but personally I find it really annoying. Glad the author got his bag on this though. Good for you, bro.
