Entertaining. Not particularly original and sometimes extremely cheesy especially in the romance scenes. Also there's some LGBTQ chcracters shoved there in the background with no influence on the plot whatsoever. And yet!!! The plot and execution is just good enough that I enjoyed it somehow! People's very strong opinions about this book are a little extreme. It's not original, it's not a masterpiece but I don't think it aspires to be either.
